Last summer I was in downtown Newburyport for the first time. The occasion was dinner at a "not average" restaurant with a friend. I was impressed at how attractive the city is. I like small cities.
Just recently I learned that a priest friend of mine has been assigned to the parish in Newburyport. Hopefully this will give me additional occasions to visit the city.
Thanks for the photos, which brought up good memories.
Excellent. Yes, I am impressed with Newburyport. I retains an old port charm to it and every store owner tastefully decorates according to the season. It is a great place just to hang for a few hours. I could sit there for an hour or so at a coffeehouse and watch the world pass by me. I found it very relaxing.
Newburyport is the home of Alden Merrill cheesecake - a local favorite.
