During my recent trip to Jordan, I stopped by an excavation project near the Baptismal site in the Jordan Valley. I was fascinated with the work of the archeologists and volunteers. It would be terrific to volunteer for a week or so at one of these digs.
This particular site in unveiling a large city, covered over many times and rebuilt city upon city, dating back to the time of the Patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Take a look at the site and discover the rich offerings of this dig.

Director, Tall el-Hammam Excavation Project
It was a marvelous dig season at Tell el-Hammam!
There are many people and factors involved in a successful season. The funding is always critical, of course, so a huge THANK YOU is in order for those of you who made donations toward Season Twelve. You believed in this Project enough to support it, and our ongoing goal of demonstrating the historical veracity and authenticity of the Bible.
Every year the growing archaeological picture at Tall el-Hammam reinforces the reality of the stories of Abraham and Lot, of Moses and Joshua, of David and Solomon, of Jesus and the Twelve. When I'm standing atop Tall el-Hammam looking over the surrounding landscape, I can't help but realize that practically every Bible character spent time either on or in the vicinity of Tall el-Hammam. Certainly, the story of Sodom is dramatically evident across the site! Because of you, TeHEP continues on the cutting edge of biblical archaeology, linking physical reality to the text of Scripture.
We must also thank each of the TeHEP 2017 Team members who invested their time, money, and energy to participate in Season Twelve. Here they are by category in alphabetical order:
Thanks to all of you for a successful 2017 Season! You are greatly appreciated!
