Dragonfly by Mary Ann O'Brien

A spectacular September Saturday with Sapphire skies.

A ruby red dragonfly lands nearby.

Gossamer winds shimmer in the late summer sun.

Perching on a dying flower - green leaves surround you.

ILIfe around death - seamlessly you go between the two.

Still and steady you are - the wind doesn't shake you.

Are you witnessing my rebirth?

Is a pair of your strong delicate wings for me?

A new freedom to be found?

No more dying - skirting deat with reckless abandon.

The time is now or it is never more. The work is hard and you are worth it.

You are alive and stay that way you will.

Take these wings and fly...

                to the sapphire sky.
