Dear friends,
We will be looking at the introduction and Chapter 1 of Fratelli Tutti, an encyclical by Pope Francis, On Fraternity and Social Friendship, written on October 3, 2020. It is his most recent encyclical and is broken down into eight chapters. The first chapter is an assessment of where the world stands today in its social relations with one another. It reminds us that the Pope is writing on behalf of the world and not just a Western perspective, and there are great difficulties in speaking to and on behalf of a worldwide church as well as to those outside the church.
I will send out the document section by section on Tuesday afternoons so we have a full week to read it and pray over it.
