Ah, it rained today. Twice. It made me very happy. The first times was just sprinkles, but the second time was light but more continuous. Everything is very thirsty in the desert and we all need water to sustain life. This was the first rain since March. It seems like a long lost friend.
A man said something very pleasant to me after Mass tonight. I said that he was dressed very well and he looked smart. He said, "This is because of you. You make me want to be better." He could not stop smiling.
Another man said, "My whole day feels better because I know I am going to see you."
After Mass, we watched the Alfred Hitchcock movie, "I Confess" and have a lively conversation about the confidentiality of the confessional. Very good.
John, those two comments are incredibly inspiring. This is a real testament to the witness of Jesus' love that you have been living for your people. As a follower of Jesus, I thank you for the way in which you are leading others to follow our Lord as well. Thank you for sharing this. It builds up the body of Christ to hear such a message. ReplyDeleteThanks, Lynda. These are good people who are so happy that their faith lives are coming alive. They feel like celebrating. It is as if they have waited years for it. I'm so glad to know they are enjoying their faith.
